Abstract

This chapter first explores behaviour change in tourism more generally. It then discussed behaviour change in the Zoo context with a detailed explanation of the process. The chapter presents more than other tourism enterprises, zoos have embraced the idea of proactive behaviour change for environmental benefits. The chapter presents novel and future theoretical and research opportunities for zoos as they pursue new ideas and approaches to achieve their missions and goals.
