Abstract

The entry foregrounds feminist standpoint epistemologies as women's ways of knowing, i.e. building knowledge that matters. This endeavour accords epistemic privilege to the marginalised, principally, women, as those who know and whose knowledge counts as it is based on their lived realities. Feminist standpoint epistemologies aim to challenge and decolonise androcentric knowledge enterprises.
