N2 - In this article, the resonance of a rectangular plate due to multiple traveling masses is studied. Two series of moving inertial loads traversing the plate surface along parallel rectilinear trajectories with opposite directions are considered. This investigation is of significance in engineering mechanics dealing with the vibration of two-lane slab-type bridges under the moving vehicles. The peak values of DAF (dynamic amplification factor) are determined with respect to the variation of loads velocity and inertia as well as their spacing.
