Abstract

This research report, commissioned by the ACCC, identifies desirable competition law principles for vertical agreements (such as distribution and supply agreements) in ASEAN and in its Member States, and incorporates an in-depth comparative analysis of six ASEAN Member States (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam). An extensive legal and economic analysis resulted in a 61,000-word report prepared for the ACCC as part of its support for the South-East Asian Nations, and specifically for the benefit of ASEAN and the ASEAN Member States.
