Abstract
This essay establishes accurate dates for the reviews that appeared in the later issues of the Bibliothèque Britannique—especially those in issues delayed by “unfortunate circumstances”—such as the lengthy and important review of Haywood’s Female Spectator which appeared in July 1746.
