Abstract

As tunable Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) becomes more popular in the wireless communication, experiment of PIFA with switch application has been conducted. Switch with low cost designed is preferred. The tunale PIFA enables us to switch from low frequency to high frequency by varying the length of the antenna. This paper will describe implementation of PIN diode, functioned as the switch, in the PIFA.
