TRANSITION FROM DILUTE ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION TO MOLTEN SALT AS DETERMINED BY HIGH PRESSURE ELECTRICAL CONDUCTANCE STUDIES

Abstract

Measurements were made of the volume and electrical conductance of a range of LiCl and LiI solutions from dilute to saturation concentration, from 20 degree C to 150 degree C and up to 5 kbar. The data have been converted to molar conductivities and fitted to the V. T. F. equation to obtain the ″ideal glass transition″ temperature.
