Abstract
The electrochemical properties of the ordered three-dimensional (3D) mesoporous carbon, synthesized by using mesoporous silica (FDU-5) as a hard template from an impregnation procedure, has been firstly explored as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries. The material presents uniform pore size of 7.4 nm, BET surface area of 750 m2/g. As a novel nano-material C-FDU-5 shows almost constant resistance and Li+ diffusion coefficient when the potential is lower than the critical potential. The material also presents a reversible capacity higher than that of carbon nanotubes, and can be charge/discharged at the large current rate.
