Abstract
Compares responses to anti terrorist financing policy, focusing on electronic money regulatory policies, following the events of September 11. Discusses the responses of: (1) the United Nations including Resolution 1373 and the Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Financing; (2) the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) 40 Recommendations and Special Recommendations on Terrorist Financing; (3) the Basel Committee of Banking Supervision money laundering principles; (4) the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems guidelines; (5) the United States including Executive Order 13224 and the USA PATRIOT Act 2001; and (6) the amendment of Council Directive 91/308.
