Abstract
The NHS faces special problems in implementing the COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations. It is not only the country's largest employer but it also serves the entire UK population - so we are all 'affected by the work carried on by the employer'! This article looks at some of the problems that the NHS will have to grapple with over the next year and reviews some of the help that is available.
