Abstract
本篇文章的主要目是综述汉字表意观在西方的起源与形成过程,并尝试给其一个比较全面的定义。论文基本上按照时间线索勾勒出汉字在西方学界的早期认识过程,这一过程从西方早期对汉字的认识开始,延续至十九世纪上半叶汉字表意观的形成。论文旨在通过探讨早期西方的汉字研究,帮助读者全面理解西方汉字研究的传统,也为理解当代西方汉字研究的主要方面以及争议热点提供背景资料。
The main purpose of this article is to summarize the origin and formation process of Chinese character ideology in the West, and try to give a more comprehensive definition. The thesis basically outlines the early recognition process of Chinese characters in Western academic circles according to time clues. This process started from the early recognition of Chinese characters in the West and continued to the formation of Chinese character ideology in the first half of the nineteenth century. The thesis aims to help readers fully understand the tradition of Western Chinese character research by exploring the study of Chinese characters in the early West, and also to provide background information for understanding the main aspects of contemporary Western Chinese character research and hot topics of controversy.
