N2 - The decomposition of morphological operations into equivalent sets of basis filters has applications not only to parallel processing but also has implications for the design of more efficient structuring elements. Previous work in this area has lead to the decomposition of both the opening and closing operations. That work is extended to include the close(open) and open(close) operations for both single and multiple binary structuring elements.
