Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications proliferate in our daily lives. Similarly, AI drives many disruptive changes in healthcare, from automating routine tasks efficiently to managing resources, performing surgeries, and recommending personalized diagnoses and treatment plans to patients. However, several challenges need to be overcome for the complete adoption of AI in healthcare and digital therapeutics. The challenges range from technical ones related to AI algorithms and data biases to the healthcare systems’ complexity. The chapter discusses these challenges in detail and cites ongoing works and solutions.
