Abstract

An analysis of the individual teacher and school characteristics associated with out-of-field teaching in STEM subjects in Australia using linked data on students, teachers and schools for Australia from the Programme of International Student Assessment (PISA) 2015.The teacher data are a nationally representative sample of teachers teaching 15 year-olds across government, Catholic and independent schools.
