Abstract

The reaction of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O with benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid (H3BTC) and H2O under hydrothermal conditions affords a new three-dimensional porous coordination polymer, [Cu2(OH)(BTC)(H2O)]n·2nH 2O, which contains 5 × 7 Å dimension lozenge shaped 1D open channels along the crystallographic a axis.
