Abstract
Reaction of an extremely bulky potassium amide complex, KL† (L†=[Ar†(PPh2)N]-, Ar†=C6H2{C(H)Ph2}2Pri-2,6,4), with GeCl2·dioxane afforded low yields of the phosphinoamido and phosphinoamino germanium(II) chloride complexes, GeCl2(κ1-P-L†GeCl)] and [GeCl2(κ1-P-L†H)], respectively. The X-ray crystal structures, and limited spectroscopic data, for the complexes are reported. Both complexes represent rare examples of phosphine adducts of GeCl2
