Superspreading-based fabrication of asymmetric porous PAA-g-PVDF membranes for efficient water flow gating

One‐step fabrication of asymmetric poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PAA‐g‐PVDF) membranes is reported by using the superspreading liquid layers on immersed hydrogel surfaces and confined phase inversion process that occurs at the oil/hydrogel interface. Such PAA‐g‐PVDF membranes possess asymmetric micro/nanopores and wettability, endowing these membranes efficient water flow gating and excellent recycling property for long‐term practical applications.
