The antimony (III)-fluoride complex ion system has been evaluated from data obtained from rapid a-c polarographic measurements. Four complexes are indicated to exist with stability constants of [formula omitted] where β'n values refer to equilibria of the type [formula omitted]. Before evaluating this system, a detailed study into the nature of the electrode reaction occurring was undertaken and the conditions necessary for convenient polarographic study were ascertained. These conditions, the theory and other aspects of using a-c polarography to examine the system, in which an a-c quasi-reversible electrode reaction was observed, are considered in detail.
