Abstract
An experimental investigation is presented of the effect of the particle size distribution on the compaction of cohesionless powders. A new equation is proposed for describing the porosity-pressure relation. Its applicability is examined using the previous and present measurements. Methods are discussed of predicting the relationship between porosity and pressure and particle size distribution.
