Abstract

This paper contributes to strategy and international education literature by investigating the factors that influence successful educational partnerships between post-secondary institutions in a developed and an emerging country, within the context of international business strategy literature. It looks at what kinds of theories and strategies are available to managers concerned with international services delivery and suggests which theories might be of particular use. The main research objective is to identify the themes and issues that have a measurable impact on the profitability and sustainability of such partnerships over time which are organised into a Tertiary Education Strategy Theory (TEST) model.
