Abstract

Invited for the cover of this issue are the groups of Peter J. Sadler at the University of Warwick and Bayden R. Wood at Monash University. The image depicts a platinum(IV) anticancer prodrug, the light-activated release of its hydroxide and azide ligands, and reduction to platinum(II) as detected by our global collaboration using infrared spectroscopy combined with a range of other methods.
