Abstract
This paper presents a novel Chipless RFID tag operating from 3 to 8 GHz. The developed tag has high coding density of 5.13 bits /cm2 and is based on obtaining at least two bits from one resonator. The designed tag is screen-printed in-house using manual screen printer using two different type of conductive ink. The investigation of the response of printed tag showed that substrate parameters and ink parameters are playing a vital role in affecting the RF performance of the printed tag. The substrate parameters can be un-modifiable for some application of Chipless RFID technology, so ink parameters are enhanced to obtain better RF performance for the printed version of Chipless RFID tag.
