Abstract
Additive manufacturing is a state-of-the-art method used to produce digital composites with complex structure and composition. One promising type of digital composite is Digital Short Fibre Reinforced Composite (DSFRC), whose properties can be digitally controlled by adjusting the material's micro or mesoscale structures. In this paper, we propose a simulation-based data-driven design approach to efficiently explore the property space of DSFRC. Our method can obtain optimal material descriptors to achieve tailored material properties.
