Abstract
We demonstrate for the first time silicon chip based instantaneous chromatic dispersion monitoring of an ultra-high bandwidth 640 Gbit/s DPSK signal. This monitoring scheme is based on cross-phase modulation in an ultra-high nonlinear silicon nano-wire.
