Abstract
As leaders, managers, policy makers and employers in industry, when we think of occupational health and safety we tend to focus on mechanical injuries. For example; Slips, trips, falls, manual handling, lifting.
However, with the implementation of the new Managing the risk of psychosocial hazards at work - code of practice, we have the OPPORTUNITY to include a focus on health conditions, psychological distress and mental health.
So today I am shining a light on these conditions, and presenting some of the findings from the driving health study, of truck drivers in Australia, and look at what we can learn from this, to apply across all industries.
