A report on the separation of common genotypes of β-lactoglobulin by capillary electrophoresis (CE) was presented. The CE separation medium contained 100 mM tricine, 100 mM sodium acetate, 0.1% Tween20, 0.1% ethanolamine, pH 8.5 and was used with an uncoated silica capillary (60 cm, 50 mm i.d.). The order of separation of β-lactoglobulin variants agreed with the methods involving separation conditions at either pH 6.0 or 8.0 with either phosphate and borate.
