Abstract
In this letter, a self-oscillating triangular waveform generator based on an optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) was demonstrated. As a result, 5.35 GHz full-duty-cycle triangular pulse trains were generated via a phase modulator cascaded with a Mach-Zehnder interferometer. Microwave signals were also generated with phase noise of-124dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset.
