Abstract

Neurological ailments are the worldwide major healthcare problems. Modern lifestyle is connected with tremendous risks of chronic sickness and diseases, posing a substantial healthcare and financial burden to society globally. Consumption of dietary supplements along with the normal diet provides additional promoting nutrients to health. Researchers are focusing on the provision of fine action against the ailing syndromes with minimum side effects. Recently, several reports on functional nutriments have been introduced to acquire foods with lesser side effects and improved therapeutic activity, and hence, many researchers attempted to unravel many extraction methods to obtain important bioactive or phytochemical compounds from the therapeutically active nourishments. The terrible need for healthy nourishments creates the demand for widely increasing nutraceuticals against neurological interventions. Food behaviors of individual lifestyle, related neurodegeneration, and the essential role of nutraceuticals in the treatment of neurological interventions have been well established in the literature. This chapter highlights some major neurological ailments and nutraceutical remedies, which will be helpful to prevent neurogenerative diseases.
