Abstract

RFID is an exciting new automated contact-less data capturing technique that is finding more and more applications. In this paper we present a comprehensive review of available RFID reader units in the market today. A complete and detailed review of the reader system architecture and a classification of RFID readers based on their operating and communication principles and technologies are presented.
