Reversibility of the Zn(II) → Zn electrode reaction in the application of polarographic theory to the study of the fluoride complexes of zinc

Polarographic measurements on aqueous solutions containing zinc and fluoride ions have shown the existence of the species ZnF+ with a stability constant of 9 at 30°, at an ionic strength of 1.0. The zincfluoride system was evaluated by the polarographic method for reversible reduction after a detailed study to determine conditions under which the zinc system is reversibly reduced in fluoride media.
