Abstract
The recrystallization behavior of a ferritic stainless steel sheet was studied using electron backscattering diffraction (EBSD). It was shown that a strongly banded microstructure developed with alternating grains belongs to the α-fiber and γ-fiber textures. The boundaries separating subgrains within the grains interacted with fine Ti(C,N) precipitates that formed during the final stages of hot rolling.
