Abstract

The reactions of CyPHM (M = Li, Na) with As(NMe₂)₃ in the presence of various Lewis-base donor ligands leads to the formation of five-membered, heterocyclic [(CyP)₄As]^- anions. The syntheses and structures of the new complexes [(CyP)₄AsLi· TMEDA·thf] (1), [(CyP)₄AsNa·TMEDA] (2) (TMEDA = Me ₂NCH₂CH₂NMe₂) and [(CyP) ₄AsLi(HNMe₂)₃] (3) are reported.
