Abstract

Reaction of [Fe(1,5-C8H12)2] with P(OMe)3 affords [Fe(1,3-C8H12){P(OMe) 3}3], whereas, PF3, Co, and ButNC give [Fe(1,5-C8H12)L3] (L = PF3, CO, or ButNC); in contrast Ph2PCH2CH 2PPh2 and dinitrogen give the Fe0 dinitrogen complex [Fe(N2)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh 2)].
