Abstract
The prostate is extremely prone to disease in older men, with the most common disorders being benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostatitis, and prostate cancer. BPH and prostatitis are debilitating diseases and prostate cancer can be lethal in some men. With an aging population there is an imperative to better understand how to treat each of these conditions.
