Power optimization model of adjustable guide-vane for an exhaust wind energy recovery system

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference PaperOther

Abstract

This paper describes the development of a model of an exhaust air wind energy recovery system with adjustable guide-vane. The model is developed by using a curve fitting approach with polynomial regression analysis; it correlates the fan speed, guide-vane angle, wind turbine rotational speed and duty cycle of the resistive load to electrical power. It can be used for future design of an effective power optimization control system, and its effectiveness of the generated model is evaluated theoretically and statistically.
