Abstract

This paper presents a dynamic Routing and Wavelength Assignment (RWA) for a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexed (DWDM) network under the wavelenght continuity constraint using ant colony optimization (ACO). Simulations are run to compare the performance of ACO-based dynamic RWA (ADR) with the common static RWA on a mesh network.
