Abstract

In this chapter, we offer guidance on the processes of peer review for scholarly publications. We explore the purpose of peer review and summarise approaches from healthcare simulation journals. We position the role of reviewer as one of privilege and responsibility. We illustrate reviewer reports and set expectations for approaches to author responses. Although the chapter is written for reviewers it has relevance for anyone involved in the reviewing process.
