Abstract

The authors report a case of opportunistic fungal chorioretinitis diagnosed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis based on 28S rDNA of a vitreous specimen in a 67-year-old Chinese woman who was immunocompromised secondary to chronic ingestion of steroid containing traditional Chinese medication (TCM).
