Abstract

Dear Sir,

In 2017, Fiji hosted the first ever Southern Hemisphere Pacific Medical Student Association (PMSA) summer camp.1 This 5-day event aimed to deepen students’ knowledge. Topics at this camp were essential to Pacific Health, chosen specifically as potentially neglected at medical schools. Presentations were on climate change, natural disasters, environmental health in the Pacific, jungle and primitive medicine, emergency medicine and mental health.
