Abstract

The Palaeozoic history of the Lachlan fold belt involves terrane translation and accretion of discrete allochthonous fragments. Four major terranes developed adjacent to the Gondwana continental margin and were overthrust in the Middle Devonian to form a partly composite crust for SE Australia. -Authors
