Abstract

We present the design of four ring symmetric circular split ring resonators and four ring asymmetric circular split ring resonator designs as chipless RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags that can be used to accommodate data bits in ultra-wideband (UWB) frequencies. The compact proposed resonators are derived using split circular ring resonator design. Both simulated and fabricated results are presented and the suitability of each design for the respective fabrication techniques are also discussed.
