On the perturbation of homogeneous LTI descriptor differential systems

Abstract

In the literature of linear system and mathematical control theory, several different techniques have been developed for the solution of homogeneous LTI descriptor differential systems. In this paper, we apply the Weierstrass canonical form, and we investigate the conditions under which a system with specific structure and desirable properties is constructed. Consequently, we define the family of perturbed pencils such as the solutions of the initial and the relative perturbed system are r-close with respect to a Frobenius distance. A step-algorithm is also presented enhancing more the results of the paper.
