Abstract
Recent heatwaves in Australia have shown that older people are more vulnerable to extreme heat. It is likely that the impact of heat is moderated by behavioural and housing adaptations and by access to appropriate support from health and other services. This study uses mixed methods to explore the experiences of older people during the 2011–12 summer in a rural community regularly exposed to heat-extremes.
