Abstract

An analytic method for predicting off boresight radiated fields from Impulse Radiating Antennas (IRAs) is developed in the time domain. This theory is used to examine the radiation pattern from common reflector IRA configurations both temporally and in the frequency domain. Various methods for controlling the sidelobes in the frequency domain are discussed. The results are compared with experimental measurements of a half IRA in the E- and H-planes.
