Numerical analysis of stability of tunnel surrounding rocks under earthquake

Abstract

By using the spectrum analysis of ANSYS, the stability of tunnel surrounding rocks was studied. The character of tensile stress and displacement were obtained in different rock quality, span and type of earthquake waves. The research shows the principal reason of damage in tunnels is the different displacement in varied surrounding rocks. The attention to some problems was proposed in the tunnel support. The cause of formation of tunnel damage was explained in quantity on the basis of the investigative information.
