Nonlinear microscopy of strain in lead iodide nanosheets

Abstract

We investigate the nonlinearity of PbI2 nanosheets by strain. Using the polarization and thickness dependence of the nonlinear harmonic emissions, we can precisely determine their thickness and crystalline orientation with a non-invasive optical technique.
