Abstract
Never at Sea is a creative intervention that was held at St Mary le Strand Church, in June 2023, that explored the intersection between forced migration and climate change. Over six days, against the backdrop of a film, sound and sculptural installation, Kate McMillan and her co-collaborators presented a series of talks, symposia and performances.
The sound was composed by Cat Hope, the choreography (performed by Lydia Clark) was by Sivan Rubenstein. Percussion was by Louise Devenish and the vocals were performed by Marcia Lemke-Kern.
The project was developed in collaboration with the Refugee Council, King's Sanctuary Programme and King's Culture, King's College London.
