Abstract

The launch of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) on 1 July 2013, heralded the start of a new era for people with disability in Australia. The purpose of this analysis is to undertake demographic projections of young people in residential aged care (RAC) to forecast the changing needs of this group and the resource implications within the initial NDIS launch sites over the next four years.
