Abstract

A decade has passed since excellent soft magnetic properties were first reported for nanocrystalline Fe73.5Si13.5B9Nb3Cu1. Similar nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloys have been found in various systems over the last 10 years. In this paper, research on these nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloys is reviewed and the principles underlying alloy design are discussed.
