Abstract

(Figure Presented) No ligand support: Modular assembly of the title system (see picture; Ag purple, W blue, O red) has been achieved using {H 3W12O40}5- and {Ag2} 2+ building blocks to give a material with [Ag(CH3CN) 4]+ ions in its microporous channels. This framework is constructed by unsupported AgI⋯AgI interactions, and sorption studies show that the framework can reversibly adsorb up to 10 wt% acetonitrile.
